THE 2010 Chili Cookoff will be held Saturday, February 27th at Porsche of Orlando! Start testing those chili recipes and plan to join us!
This is a club sponsored social event and all club members are welcome to attend. Bringing a chili, side or dessert is encouraged, but we urge people to come and taste the entries if cooking isn’t their thing.
While the beer is a cornerstone element of any chili cook-off where hot chili is served, rest assured we will have a very nice selection of wine to compliment the chili and side dishes as well.
An RSVP by email or phone by Thursday, February 25th will assist in the event planning. Please include:
- Number of people in your party
- If you're bringing an entry please note the category (hot or mild chili, side dish or dessert)
- It is absolutely okay to bring more than one entry

Tampa Concours! March 6th -
Okay everybody, get out the sponges, chamois, Q-tips and white gloves, we’ve been invited to a Concours by the Suncoast Region on Saturday March 6th. Come out to Reeves Motorsports in Tampa on the corner of Florida Ave. and Fowler Ave. (11333N. Florida Ave, Tampa 33612). There will be a full Concours, and a Wash and Shine. Full Concours judging will be on the interior and exterior with the tie breaker, the engine. It is open to all Porsches and cars sold by Reeves. Cost is $20 with proceeds going to a charity chosen by Mrs. Reeves. Staging will start at 7:00 AM (Citrus members can pre-register with an email or phone call and arrive closer to 9am) and judging will start at 9:00 AM. Trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place and there will be a People’s Choice award and Reeves’ Choice award.
The Wash and Shine will also be open to all Porsches and all cars sold by Reeves (Audi, BMW, VW, Hummer, Subaru, Maserati, etc.) Cost is $20, remember it’s for charity. These cars will be eligible for the People’s Choice Award and Reeves’ Choice award.

Winery Tour
The first Sunday in March (3/7) Citrus Region will be having a driving tour to the Keel & Curley winery in Plant City. We will meet on Sandlake Road (SR 482) on the Southwest side of Orlando at 1pm and depart around 1:30pm. The afternoon start time should allow those members with Sunday morning commitments to join us. There is a Starbuck’s close by for those who need a afternoon pick-me-up. The drive should take about an hour and is West on I-4 toward Tampa.
I hope you will take this opportunity to join your fellow region members and enjoy a nice drive and some wine tasting.
Directions to Meeting Place: Take I4 to Sandlake Road exit (SR482), head west for ¼ mile, turn left into shopping area (Timpano’s, Samba Room restaurants plus Publix), look for Porsches in the lot. For a Mapquest use the Starbuck’s address at 7610 W. Sandlake Rd. , Orlando 32819.
